Our Process
How Fall Cleanup Works
We time our fall cleanup visits based on actual leaf drop conditions in the Lindsay area
— not an arbitrary calendar date. Here's what happens during a typical fall cleanup visit:
1. Leaf Removal
The main event. We clear all fallen leaves from your lawn, garden beds,
walkways, driveway, and hard surfaces. Leaves are either mulched on-site
(when appropriate and conditions allow) or removed entirely. The goal is a clean
lawn surface with no leaf mats that could trap moisture over winter.
2. Final Mow
We perform a final mowing at a slightly lower height than regular season
cuts. This reduces the length of grass going into winter, which lowers the risk of snow
mold — a common problem in the Kawartha Lakes region where snow cover can persist for months.
3. Garden Bed Closing
Spent annuals are removed, debris is cleared from beds, and edges are tidied up.
This prevents organic matter from rotting in beds over winter and gives you a
clean starting point in spring.
4. General Property Cleanup
We do a full walkthrough of your property to pick up fallen branches, clear debris
from fence lines, and clean up anything that shouldn't be left sitting over winter.
The result is a tidy, protected property ready for the cold months.
